Chester boasts Roman city walls lovely riverside terraces designer shopping and a world famous zoo. Sandy beaches lie 6 miles away at West Kirby also site of a marine lake for windsurfing and the Wirral Country Park provides miles of scenic walking and cycling whilst further afield Snowdonia and the Lake District make great day trips. Parkgate (1 mile) offers restaurants café three pubs a general store and superb ice cream.

The old market town of Macclesfield with its shops and cafes are well worth a visit or walk the canal tow path to the lovely village of Bollington. The property is near to The Peak District, spend the day at Chatsworth House and Estate or the spa town of Buxton, with its theatre and beautiful gardens. Antique fairs and French market can often be found here. Take a trip to Castleton caves famous for its Blue John stone or take in the museums, art galleries, restaurants and shops that Manchester city has to offer. Shop and pub 21/2 miles.
