A friendly pub (dogs welcome) is a short stroll and shops are 3 miles away.

This northwest corner of Cumbria sees the majestic fells of the Lake District give way to the undulating coastal plain of the Solway Firth. Across the tidal sea estuary the mountains of Scotland stand proud on a clear day the skyline is filled with high peaks. All around Seaville Farm Barn lies rich farmland which after a mile or two runs west to the long sandy beaches of Silloth and Allonby or north to the special nature site of Moricambe Bay and the 'sinking sands' of Burgh by Sands. Eastwards the River Eden affords lovely walks along its meandering valley and around Talkin Tarn near picturesque Brampton. The start of Hadrian's Wall is just 10 miles away and the border city of Carlisle is about half an hour's drive as is Bassenthwaite Lake with its Osprey viewpoint.
