Accommodation overview: Set in the heart of the ever-popular village of Brockenhurst within the New Forest National Park, Forest Glade is set in an ideal central holiday location - with pubs, restaurants and individual shops (such as bakery, coffee shop, butchers, beauty salon and local hotels with wonderful spa facilities) all on the doorstep. One of a pair, this New Forest house enjoys a spacious feel with many rooms having lovely high ceilings; some with large windows and French door, providing a light and airy feel. The kitchen/dining room is the real heart of the home with French doors leading to the patio for al fresco dining, whilst the large living room is perfect for relaxing in during the winter evenings. Three of the four bedrooms have the convenience of en-suite facilities.
A stroll to the end of the road leads the unspoilt forest and heathland - with wandering ponies and cattle, which the New Forest is famous for. Miles of beautiful walks are available, or alternatively the surrounding area can be explored by car or bicycle - discovering some of the appealing villages, towns, attractions and gardens such as Lyndhurst, the sailing town of Lymington (with ferry terminal to the Isle of Wight), Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and the riverside village of Bucklers Hard.
Further afield but well worth a trip is Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool. Various beaches are dotted along the coast and are a short drive away. The county of Hampshire itself was enjoyed by Jane Austen with her house and museum in Chawton and her resting place in Winchester Cathedral. Brockenhurst is serviced by a main line direct train from London Waterloo (which takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes) and other destinations. Southampton airport 20 minutes. Shops 10 yards.
