Accommodation overview: This uniquely converted beamed barn, is situated in the depths of the Kentish countryside with beautiful views yet only 7 miles from Canterbury. The Barn enjoys some specially commissioned stained glass panels which beautifully illuminate the kitchen, dining area and conservatory. There are also some individual sculptures for guests to enjoy both inside and outside the house. The property is set in almost 2 acres of gardens which exude peace and tranquillity, and have been divided into different areas, one of which boasts a water feature. There is a large outdoor chess board and the garden, which is partly lit at night, also houses an indoor heated swimming pool. Beyond the garden lie fields and countryside which are great for walking and bird-watching.
The property is ideally placed for visiting historic Canterbury, which offers a rich slice through two thousand years of history, with Roman and early Christian ruins, a Norman castle and a famous cathedral that dominates a medieval warren of time-skewed Tudor buildings. Ashford is ideal for shopping at the Designer Outlet. Trips to Paris can be taken from Ashford International Station or Dover is also nearby for ferries to France. Dover also has a castle perched high on the famous White Cliffs, and Second World War tunnels. Port Lympne Wild Animal Park is ideal for children and houses hundreds of rare animals including elephants, tigers and lions amongst many others.
