Fishing (both sea and lake), golf - three local courses, or day trips to France or London are all possibilities. The house is also within walking distance of the railway station and bus routes. Other places to visit include Tenterden, the Jewel in the Weald, Biddenden Vineyard which produces wine, cider and apple juice and offers tastings. The South of England’s Rare Breed Centre provides a wonderful opportunity for children to become more “hands on” with the animals, or take a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway. This is a genuine rural haven, far from major roads and an excellent area for walkers, it is accessed along a farm road and has many good foot paths to explore. The magnificent cathedral city of Canterbury and the beach at Camber Sands are both 20 miles away. Golf, tennis and riding are available locally. Shop 1½ miles, nearest pub just over a mile away.

These two cottages are furnished to similarly comfortable standards throughout, and enjoy identical layouts. Accommodation overview: Commanding stunning views across the English Channel, this attractive, spacious, family home for all seasons is the ideal property for a relaxing holiday with both friends or relatives. A decked terrace runs the length of the property, an ideal spot for soaking up the sun or relax after a brisk winter walk in front of a glowing log burner in the cosy living room, overlooking the frothing waves. The white chalk cliff above St Margaret’s Bay is said to be the first place the sun reaches each morning on mainland Britain!
