The coast with its sandy beaches is only 12 miles and visitors can experience the delights of the attractive coastal villages. Alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich which is only 8 miles away with its cathedrals, museums, theatre and vast array of cafes and shops. National Trust properties well worth visiting are Felbrigg hall and Blickling Hall. Shops 750 yards, pub 1 mile.

An easy drive leads to the North Norfolk coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and renowned for its uncrowded sandy beaches, coastal walks, RSPB nature and bird reserves and is well worth a visit.
The seaside resorts of Heacham and Hunstanton (16 miles) offer an array of activities for all ages including a pier with live entertainment, Sea Life Centre, cliff top golf course and of course the wonderful Blue Flag sandy beach. A boat trip to visit the basking seal colony and the Norfolk Lavender Centre makes for an alternative day trip. The Royal Sandringham Estate and museum is easily accessible and open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence. Sailing can be found at Denver on the River Ouse and a golf course is available at Ryston (8 miles). Shop and post office in village. Pub less than ½ mile.
