Accommodation overview: This typical Scottish farmhouse sits in a spectacular location at the head of a beautiful glen, deep in the mountains of the Trossachs on the renowned 'Braes of Balquihidder'. Freshly decorated and comfortably furnished in a simple, unpretentious style, this would be the perfect base for an outdoor activity holiday. With double glazing and an open log fire it is ideal for a relaxing break away from it all, at any time of the year. The owners working sheep farm is nearby and there is a lovely atmosphere of tranquility and remoteness. Local hero Rob Roy McGregor lived most of his life in the original house on this site in the early 18th Century. His grave can be visited in the local churchyard.
With 7 Munros within easy reach, this is good country for walking, climbing or mountain biking, there is sailing and water sports 10 miles away at Loch Earn and river/loch fishing are available locally. The final 8 miles to the house are on a scenic but narrow single track road which winds up the glen past Lochs Voil and Doine. Hotel 4 miles, shops 10 miles.

In the geographical centre of Scotland, this is the ideal base for touring on scenic roads.

Accommodation overview: This handsome detached house is one of two in a superb location on the River Tay with stunning across the river to the Sidlaw Hills. Built in the traditional style on the site of a former fishing station, the house offers an exceptionally high standard in very peaceful surroundings. Sea trout and salmon fishing is available. For guests who wish to bring a boat, slipway facilities and moorings are available in front of the property. There are numerous golf courses in the area, including the famous Old Course at St. Andrews, 11 miles away and many National Trust properties and historic houses to explore. Cross the Tay Bridge to visit the City of Discovery. Dundee and see HM Frigate Unicorn, the oldest British-built warship still afloat and RRS Discovery, launched in 1901 and set sail for Antartica under the command of Captain Scott in his first voyage to try and find the South Pole. Explore the beautiful Angus Glens and sample the soft fruits for which this beautiful area is renowned. Accommodation overview: This charming, recently refurbished 17th century stone cottage is in glorious Highland Perthshire, just off the A93, the main tourist route from Perth to Royal Deeside. It has spectacular views and local wildlife on the doorstep, red squirrel, deer, hare and an abundance of birds. Outdoor furniture is provided to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The cottage is within the Cairngorms National Park and on the Cateran Trail (a 62 mile circular walking route through the breathtaking scenery of Glen Shee and nearby glens).
This is an ideal base for touring or participating in the wealth of local activities which include golf at the nearby Dalmunzie Hotel (the highest golf course in Scotland), climbing, mountain biking, angling, riding, ornithology and for winter sports Scotland's largest ski area is 9 miles away with an all year round chairlift. Pottery with local crafts nearby, village shop 6 miles away in Kirkmichael and good facilities 15 miles away in Blairgowrie. Pitlochry is 20 miles. The cottage is one of three, guests will pass a couple of disused outbuildings on approach.
