Set under a wooded hillside in the tiny hamlet of Folda at the edge of the Cairngorm National Park the cottage enjoys a sunny aspect facing south over the glen to the dramatic slopes of Mount Blair and historic Forter Castle. The large enclosed grassy garden is safely enclosed and has ample parking. Electric heating and wood burning stoves with logs supplied make this an ideal destination at any time of year.
This area offers a wealth of activities including hill-walking (the Cateran Trail passes through Folda) , climbing, mountain biking, angling, golf, riding, bird-watching, flora and fauna and winter sports at nearby Glenshee and is the perfect base for exploring the quiet roads of the Perthshire lochs and glens, the sandy beaches and fishing villages of the Angus coast or the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside which lies over Scotland's highest road, the Cairnwell Pass. There is a small shop and a lovely country inn 4 miles away and the pretty little town of Alyth is 12 miles with local shops and a choice of three quality golf courses.
