This grand detached house adapts itself to many different types of holiday. For an adventure-filled family holiday it is perfectly located to explore the Suffolk Heritage coastline and is in close proximity to the North Warren RSBP bird reserve. There is a fully equipped indoor games room and children’s play area. It is equally suited as a peaceful country retreat, set in 15 acres of enclosed woodland with fantastic south-facing terrace and beautifully landscaped gardens. Just a short drive leads to Aldeburgh’s beach and the sea where there is plenty to do, great for seaside holiday fun. The interior is tastefully furnished with a spacious drawing room with feature marble fireplace, an elegant dining-room, a breakfast room and a sunny day room, all of which have French doors onto the south-facing terrace. The seven bedrooms, two with Sky TV, all have views to the gardens and are comfortably furnished and pleasantly decorated. Aldeburgh’s high street has numerous high quality restaurants, many individual shops, traditional public houses, an independent cinema and award-winning fish and chip shops. There is a super beach which is home to the famous ‘Scallop Sculpture’ by the artist Maggie Hambling and the fishermen’s huts selling the local catch of the day. With its golf course, tennis courts, and sea and river sailing, the town has something for everyone. Aldeburgh is noted for its close association with the composer Benjamin Britten and was the backdrop for many of his operas. Nearby in the village of Snape is the world famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall where the Aldeburgh Music and Arts Festival is held annually. Lovely strolls along the beach or beach path can be enjoyed as well as picturesque drives to other coastal towns and villages of interest including Southwold, Woodbridge, Dunwich, Orford, Thorpeness and Walberswick. 6 miles north of Heath House is the Minsmere RSPB reserve. Accommodation overview: Peacefully situated on the fringes of the small rural village of Southrepps just 4 miles from the seaside town of Cromer and 3 miles from the beach at Overstrand these five detached cottages enjoy uninterrupted views over open fields to the front. Quiet country lanes afford access to some of Norfolk's finest beaches and traditional seaside attractions there are miles of coastal paths for walkers and the fascinating waterways of the Norfolk Broads are a short drive away as are Felbrigg and Blickling Halls (both N.T.). Cromer offers lovely beaches an excellent golf course and end of pier shows in season and from Sheringham a famous steam railway runs regularly to the charming Georgian town of Holt. A drive west along the coast road leads to salt marshes bird reserves and picturesque villages with boat trips available from Blakeney and Morston to Blakeney Point the bird sanctuary home to a colony of seals. Southrepps offers two village shops and an inn serving food.

One acre has been set aside as a wildflower meadow. Kiers Cottage is a classic example of a late-Tudor, timber-framed hall house, built around a central chimney. The holiday cottage, which has celebrated its four-hundredth birthday, is at the end of a two hundred-metre drive and is completely surrounded by farmland. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is within easy reach, along with the market town of Beccles (3½ miles) and the seaside resorts of Lowestoft, Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh. Birdwatchers will doubtless head for the RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere, while closer at hand is the lesser-known Benacre Broad at Covehithe.
