Accommodation overview: St Magnus Haven is a quintessential seafront cottage situated in a prime position in the picture-postcard village of Pennan. Named after the Nordic Saint of Orkney fame, this pretty detached cottage, oozing charm and character, provides a wonderful haven for couples wishing to explore this totally unspoilt and scenic coastline. The beautifully presented lounge and double bedroom both look out across the bay, with magnificent seascapes bounded by cliffs and rocky outcrops. A small, sheltered shingle and sandy beach runs the length of the foreshore, with a lovely natural harbour at the far end. Passing seals and dolphins are often spotted close to shore. The secluded, fully enclosed walled garden at the rear is an absolute delight. Roses ramble around the courtyard, tubs and pots are filled with brightly coloured flowers and the grass-covered cliffs behind provide a natural backdrop.

Accommodation overview: Sitting on a quiet country road 4 miles from Kirriemuir these two ground floor semi-detached cottages enjoy a lovely south facing aspect with open views over rolling farmlands and woodlands to the distant Angus Glens and the Grampian mountains. Each cottage has its own patio area with seating and shares a lovely grassy safely enclosed rear garden with picnic benches. Both are comfortably furnished with lovely personal touches and are suitable for ambulant disabled guests. There is ample private parking.
The pretty little town of Kirriemuir which is known as the "Gateway to the Glens" and is the birthplace of J M Barrie has good shops, restaurants, pubs and museums and the bustling county town of Forfar is also 4 miles away. Inland the glens and hills offer excellent walking, climbing, biking and angling amidst magnificent Highland scenery while a half hour drive east leads to the coast with its picturesque old fishing villages, spectacular cliffs and miles of golden sands. There are many quality links and parkland golf courses within easy reach as are riding centres and fisheries.

There are wonderful views over the Laigh of Moray and the cottages share a large grassed garden with patio and garden chairs, adjacent to the owner's holiday home. The cottage interiors are well-maintained with comfortable homely furnishings. There are many National Trust Properties in the area, ancient fishing villages along the coast and the famous Whisky Trail. Fishing is readily available and there are excellent golf courses to choose from. The village of Hopeman with its lovely beaches, shops and pub, is 2 miles away.

Accommodation overview: This delightful traditional fisherman's cottage is one of a terrace of three built in the unique local "gable to sea" style. The cottage is in a truly delightful setting just across the road from the waters of the Moray Firth, where dolphins play and fishing boats come and go. A short walk along this shoreline is a sandy beach and the Strathlene links golf course, while on the higher level of the village are local shops and inns.
Portessie is adjacent to the bustling deep sea fishing port of Buckie which has excellent facilities and is one of a string of picturesque old fishing villages, each with its own character and each worth visiting. All along the coast are links golf courses, sheltered beaches, rocky coves and spectacular cliffs, while inland are pretty little market towns set amidst fertile farmland, the Speyside Whisky Trail and the Aberdeenshire Castle Trail. Aberdeen and Inverness, both of which have international airports, are within an hour's drive. Outdoor activities include angling, bird watching, walking, cycling, golf and riding.
