They date back to the 1800s, and have been lovingly converted to an extremely high standard with care taken to retain original beams and open brickwork, whilst keeping modern comforts. The eco-friendly heating, is provided by a bio-mass boiler using renewable energy from the Estate. The cottages offer peace and tranquillity of surrounding countryside, and are ideally positioned to explore the Yorkshire Wolds, North York Moors and the East Coast. They are in a perfect area for bird watchers with the magnificent Red Kite birds of prey located on the Estate. There is ample walking throughout the Estate for leisurely walkers or keen ramblers to enjoy this unspoilt beautiful part of the world on the edge of the Wolds Way. There are loads of activities in the area including tennis on site, spa treatments and organised shooting weekends which can be arranged. Private functions can also be arranged at Drewtons Farm Shop and Restaurant located on the Estate. All the rooms are on ground floor level with a ramped access to the rear of the property making it suitable for wheelchair use. If you would like to travel slightly further, the medieval town of Beverley with its Minster and racecourse are only a fifteen minute drive away. Accommodation overview: In a location offering a mixture of countryside moorland and sea this cluster of five exceptional quality cottages all enjoy panoramic views over meadows to Scarborough Castle and the sea. Only 3 miles from Scarborough's golden sands a few hundred yards from the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and just 15 minutes walk from the village of Scalby (with a choice of good shops and excellent inns) the properties have been designed and furnished to the highest standard. Cosily heated throughout they feature solid mahogany floors and quality rugs and all of the fully carpeted bedrooms have ensuite facilities.
