Accommodation overview: Because of its remoteness the Galloway Forest Park has been awarded the status of being one of only four Dark Sky Parks in the western world and so nowhere else in Europe can you stand in awe and amazement and see shooting stars and the Milky Way.  There are over 200 miles of coastline from rugged cliff tops to sandy beaches often empty of all but a few oyster catchers. If you are lucky you may spot dolphins, mink whales and otters. As you can imagine from an area largely surrounded by the sea we have a good selection of seafood on offer.  The public gardens here are a testament to our climate and never more in evidence than at Logan Botanic Gardens where plants from the South Seas flourish thanks to our coast being kissed by the Gulf Stream.
