Guests can enjoy the wonderful views across the water from the deck beside the shore, the sheltered bay is ideal for children. Deer, seals, otters, pine martin and a huge variety of birds including the sea eagle have been seen around the cottage. Spring cottage is 1.5 miles frin picturesque Port Appin village with its well stocked shop, craft shop and pub and hotel serving excellent locally caught seafood. The area is a wlkers, cyclers and kayakers paradise. Enjoy low level walks locally or the challenge of Glencoe, hire bikes, take the ferry and explore Lismore Island or try some mountain biking in the forests, launching your kayak from the shoreline. Horse riding, fishing and boating are all available nearby. Oban, Mull, Iona, Inverary, Fort William and Mallaig are all within easy reach. 1 double bedroom (king size bed), 1 twin and 1 room with full size bunks, living / dining room with open fire, kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath. Accommodation overview: In a spectacular position, close to the shores of Loch Linnhe with panoramic views over the loch to the mountains of Kingairloch beyond, this charming semi-detached cottage is part of the original ferryhouse which is approx. 240 years old. With a fascinating historical background, the ferryhouse has been sympathetically modernised to create a holiday home of unique character with several features put back as they might have been originally. The large sunroom takes advantage of the wonderful views and the rooms are traditional and plain in style. There is an enclosed garden to the front and rear where a path leads down onto the beach. Bed linen and towels provided. The very picturesque village of Port Appin is an ideal base for exploring and Oban is within a 40 minute drive. Day trips can be enjoyed to Glencoe and Fort William or by taking the passenger ferry from Port Appin across to the island of Lismore. Cycle and boat hire can be arranged locally and other activities include fishing, pony trekking and hill-walking. The village shop is 30 yards from the property and there are two excellent restaurants nearby. 1 double and 1 twin bedroom,(cot available) spacious sun lounge, living/dining room with multi-fuel stove, compact kitchen, bathroom with shower over the bath .
