Accommodation overview: This attractive, detached, 18th-century holiday cottage was formerly a studio and gallery for the owner Lily Sawtell’s artwork, a renowned sculptor. Adding to its charm, the cottage is decorated with pieces of artwork from other local sculptors, painters and ceramicists. Gallery Cottage is on a hill overlooking the Somerset Levels, with stunning views facing north towards the Mendip Hills, and there is a delightful private viewing point and seating area in the grounds of the cottage from which to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and watch the wildlife. The attractive and thriving village of Wedmore is just 2 miles, with individual shops, cafes and restaurants. Farm shop ½ mile, pub ¾ mile. Living room with flagstone floor, exposed timber and original bread oven in inglenook fireplace. Dining room with flagstone floor and Victorian range in inglenook fireplace. Well-equipped kitchen.
