Accommodation overview: CHALET STYLE ACCOMMODATION IN LARGE GROUNDS WITH A PLEASANT SCENIC WALK TO BEACH This detached chalet-style bungalow, fully refurbished and upgraded with a modern influence, provides an extremely comfortable holiday retreat and is situated in landscaped grounds, generously spaced on a hillside with a through road. Just 5 minutes walk takes you to Blue Anchor Bay, an ideal spot full of wildlife, large beach, promenade, 2 pubs with restaurants and lovely gardens, a hotel, cafes, large indoor heated swimming pool and historic steam railway station all of which are open all year round. A shop with newsagent and off-licence is seasonal. The property is excellent for walkers with coastal and countryside walks from the property and the Quantock Hills and Brendon Hills being within a short drive. Exmoor National Park is just 2 miles away and is the 2nd designated international dark sky reserve in the world. Dunster, a picturesque medieval village with its magnificent castle and extensive wild wooded estate for biking, walking and exploring is a 10 minute drive. Visit during the first weekend of December and enjoy the renowned Dunster by Candlelight event which is great fun with its street entertainers, carol singers and olde worlde atmosphere. Also a 10 minute drive is the seaside resort of Minehead with a sandy beach, golf course and much more. With so much to see and do in the immediate vicinity you may not need to use the car however the many attractions of the wider area ensure that there is plenty for everyone. Alternatively, relax on the large, raised illuminated decked area that overlooks the secluded south facing garden, both of which are bathed in sunshine all day and into the evening, making it ideal for sunbathing or al fresco dining whilst watching the sun go down. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 large double with en-suite shower room, WC and dressing room and French doors with access to the decking. 1 small double and 1 single. Bathroom: ¾ bath with shower over WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan, lounge area conservatory style with TV and DVD. Kitchen/diner with cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Washing machine. Outside: decked area and enclosed garden with seating areas. Amenities: parking for 2 cars. Accommodation overview: SANDY BEACH AT DUNSTER 2.5 MILES Situated in a quiet wooded residential park a 0.5 mile drive from the coastal village of Blue Anchor, with its quiet bay, pub and traditional cafes. The park has a no through road and is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs creating a perfect setting to relax and unwind with views over to Exmoor. Just 3.5 miles away is Watchet, a quiet seaside resort with a marina, pebbled beach, shops and restaurants. You will also have easy access to Somerset's picturesque villages, bustling markets, a wide selection of attractions and the West Somerset Steam Railway that runs most days throughout the year from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead. The property itself is well suited for walkers with the spectacular Quantock Hills, the first designated area of outstanding natural beauty in England where there are endless footpaths and bridleways. Just 2 miles to the south and you are in the Exmoor National Park. The seaside resort of Minehead with its sandy beach and quaint cliffside streets is 6 miles and the historic market town of Taunton with all the top names in shopping, eating, drinking and leisure entertainments is a 30 minute drive also nearby is the quaint Exmoor village of Dunster with its sandy beach and magnificent castle.
