Grove Cottage has grown from humble beginnings as a coachman's dwelling to a TV celebrity in the 1980's where its photogenic exterior and beautiful gardens were regular features of popular BBC sitcom Brush Strokes. Brixton Barn once a National Trust office has been converted with Travertine marble floors underfloor heating and a luxurious ensuite bathroom to provide outstanding accommodation for two. Set just ½ mile from a sandy beach and a ¼ mile stroll from the welcoming local pub and local village stores The Grove enjoys a wonderful location in the medieval village of Brighstone. Totally unspoilt and threaded with lovely walks and cycle paths the surrounding countryside is a joy to explore. There are miles of sandy beaches close by and a great range of attractions within a short drive. Newport 7 miles and sailing at Yarmouth 10 miles.

Accommodation overview: Sunnydown Cottage is a detached three bedroom bungalow with ample accommodation overlooking the Downs. Completely refurbished throughout the bungalow features spacious rooms complemented by a good size garden summer house barbecue and patio. Brighstone is a small friendly village teeming with chocolate box cottages a couple of pubs a general store and newsagent. There is also a National Trust shop with museum and post office set in a row of thatched cottages. Brighstone offers some outstanding walk’s and the beach is within walking distance of the bungalow. A couple of miles down the road is Compton Beach (N.T.) which is popular with windsurfers. The island is a wonderful place to explore with Freshwater 7 miles in one direction and Newport 7 miles to the other. Entrance hall. Sitting room with electric fire. Dining room. Kitchen.
