Set in the heart of peaceful Budleigh Salterton, it is one of a pair and lies a minute’s walk from the seafront, close to local shops, tearooms, restaurants and pubs. Exmouth is also popular - the River Exe being a favourite haunt of bird-watchers and a base for river cruises and fishing trips. Several golf clubs and NT properties in the area. Accommodation overview: Nestling in a quiet part of East Devon is Knowle House Lodge, a detached property set on the edge of the owner’s country house, offering peaceful, private spacious holiday accommodation. The property has been totally renovated to offer a perfect base for a large family holiday or for friends to get together. Decorated and furnished to a high standard. Just a ½ mile from the beach situated in the East Devon AONB on the glorious coast, the spectacular red cliffs of Budleigh and neighbouring Exmouth this is the beginning of the Jurassic Coastline. The town centre with its unique and much prized selection of shops is only a short walk from the seafront. There is a fantastic selection of restaurants and tea shops. There are superb NT properties close to the property. There are some beautiful beaches and plenty of nature reserves and wildlife. Visit the other coastal places like Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe and Lyme Regis is easily reached; its colour-washed cottages and elegant regency villas which line the seafront make this a very photogenic town. Exeter with its magnificent cathedral and array of shops is just 20 miles. Take a boat trip up the river and visit pubs only accessible by boat or foot. Or Crealy which is a great day out for all the family. Take a trip to Dartmoor with its wonderful heather clad tors, ponies, and delightful tea shops where the best Devon cream teas are served. Or for a day of relaxation, book to have a pamper day or individual treatments available by the owner at a cost (facials, nails etc). There are treatment rooms in the owner’s grounds. An evening meal can also be arranged as well for a night in (at an extra cost). There is so much to see and do here guests will want to return time after time. Shop 1 mile, pub 500 yards.
