Accommodation overview: This delightful, Grade II listed, 500-year-old, beamed holiday cottage is one of a row nestling in the heart of the village at the foot of the North Downs on The Pilgrims Way. Charing is small and lively - locals would say the loveliest village in Kent; it is flanked on both sides of the high street by fine Tudor and Georgian houses and surrounded by farmland. Visit Godinton House and Gardens, Leeds Castle, Belmont House and Gardens, Sissinghurst Gardens, Britain’s oldest brewer in Faversham and Canterbury Cathedral. Walking distance to station (good links to London). Shops and pub 25 yards.

Step to entrance. Living room with wood-burning stove in inglenook and window seat, open plan with dining room with slate floor, stable door to courtyard and one step to kitchen. First floor: Two double bedrooms, one with inglenook. Single bedroom. Fully tiled bathroom with shower attachment, toilet and low beam. Beamed throughout.

Accommodation overview: This historical, detached holiday cottage, featured on Darling Buds of May, offers an ideal getaway and an opportunity to relax. It is set beside the Grade I listed Archbishop’s Palace, which was brought to national awareness in the TV series Restoration, within the small village of Charing. Nestling at the foot of The North Downs, the village is situated on The Pilgrims Way and has always been a stopping off point for travellers to Canterbury and Lambeth Palace in London. Visits to Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst, and Canterbury are a must. There are good rail links to London for sightseeing and Dover, with ferries to the continent, is 40 minutes away. Shop and pub 25 yards.
