Accommodation overview: This detached, 250-year-old stone holiday cottage sits in the charming hamlet of Moorhall. Spacious and well-equipped, it has a wealth of character and boasts many original features such as beamed ceilings and traditional stone fireplaces.
Set in 3/4 acre of mature gardens, which can also be appreciated from the fantastic conservatory, it lies in a peaceful setting but yet is easily accessible for everything that the Peak District has to offer. The village of Baslow, which boasts the only bridge over the River Derwent not to have been destroyed by floods is just a short drive away and has a small selections of shops and cafes. Baslow also provides a good starting point for an enjoyable and scenic walk. The Stately Home of Chatsworth which sits in a 1000 acre estate is also close by and attracts visitors all year round. With its magnificent gardens, farmyard and adventure playground it’s a day out that all the family can enjoy. Walkers and cyclists will love exploring the Peak District National Park which is right on the doorstep. Guided walks and events are also hosted throughout the year. Shops 4 miles, pubs 2½ miles.
