Standing as one of a pair, the cottage is attractively furnished, whilst retaining many of its original features and boasts an attractive corner cottage garden with wonderful views. Coniston is a beautiful and romantic valley surrounded by spectacular scenery and there is an excellent variety of pubs, shops and restaurants from 20 yards. Accommodation overview: Coniston View is very aptly named sitting on the hillside above the village giving way to arguably the best views of Coniston Water and this traditional, Lakeland settlement. Coniston has cleverly retained its quaint local feel whilst still providing excellent amenities for holiday makers, particularly for those self catering with a good selection of shops including grocer, baker and butcher and a good pub on every corner.

Accommodation overview: Bluebird Cottage sits proudly above Coniston Village and enjoys superb views of the Lake and surrounding fell ranges, sufficient to tempt the most novice of walkers. The village has a good number of amenities for the self caterer although all the local pubs offer bar food during the day and into the evening. Bluebird Cottage was a former quarry workers cottage and has recently undergone a major refurbishment throughout to create an open plan layout, beautifully furnished with stylish new kitchen, bathroom and living space. The two parking spaces to the side of the cottage are a huge advantage and the sitting out area to the front, with lake views, is sure to be well utilised when our typical Lakeland weather will allow!

Accommodation overview: A mere 2 miles from Coniston, Torver is a peaceful hamlet with east access to some of the best mountain bike routes, water borne activities and walking in the National Park. Low level walks toward Walna Scar and in to the village itself are ideal for first time visitors and, for the more experienced, Coniston Old Man must not be missed. Torver has two excellent hostelries offering speciality ales and excellent food, Wilsons Arms and The Church House, with further good pubs and everyday shops in nearby Coniston.

The cottage boasts a wealth of features such as multi level garden terraces, a cast iron fireplace and traditional oak ceiling beams and will suit those looking for something different to the more common stripped pine look. The Cottage is literally at the foot of the Old Man of Coniston with walks to this and surrounding fells beginning from right behind the house.
