Just 10 miles away lies the lovely town of Llangollen where visitors will find an abundance of interesting shops inns and restaurants and great attractions including horse drawn canal boat trips and historic steam train journeys. From here narrow boat trips cross the famous Pontcysyllte aqueduct the highest and longest on the canal system and the surrounding Dee Valley is a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop for climbing abseiling and gorge walking. Also within easy reach are relaxing days on the golden beaches at Barmouth (30 miles). Corwen (2 miles) offers a good selection of shops and pubs serving food.
