Accommodation overview: Glendale Lodge has an uninterrupted view overlooking Loch Awe and out to the twin peaks of Ben Cruachan. This is a wonderful peaceful location on the quiet single track road which runs the southern length of Loch Awe - Scotlands longest inland loch at 24 miles long. Glendale sits with another 4 lodges, each with spacious surroundings and access to over 5 acres of grounds. The lounge has large windows looking out to the stunning view and making the room feel part of the scenery and the galley style kitchen is very well equipped. The lodge has a fantastic large spacious deck across the front and side of the property, which has a , sun loungers, BBQ and a table and chairs, making it a great outdoor space to relax and enjoy the incredible view. You look out onto the Ben Cruachan group of mountains, which has 7 peaks all over 3,000 feet, great for Munro climbing enthusiasts but also stunning scenery to photograph. The lodge comes with fishing rights for the loch, famous for brown trout and pike, and it is only a short stroll down to the lochside where you can fish from the bank or launch a boat on the slipway. Alternatively you can hire a boat locally to explore the loch or relax and take the steamboat in the summer months from Loch Awe village. Glendale Lodge is only a half mile walk to the local hotel which has a pub and restaurant.
