There is a play area with swings and a games barn with table tennis and darts. Guests also have use of the hard tennis court. An ideal spot for walking and cycling (bring own bikes or hire locally). A short walk through the fields leads to the edge of Carsington Water. There is fishing and boating from Carsington Water Visitors’ Centre. Ashbourne and Matlock, 6 miles. Local attractions include Haddon, Sudbury and Kedleston Halls, Alton Towers, Dovedale, Chatsworth, Crich Tramway Museum, Heights of Abraham and Gullivers Kingdom.
