Set within beautiful grounds, guests are free to enjoy the surrounding 10 acres of paddocks, fields and woodland along with an area which has been set aside for ball games, with goal posts permanently in place. From Peggys Cottage, the bustling coastal resort of Hornsea, some 4 miles away, is an unspoilt coastal town offering numerous attractions to suit all ages, including a well equipped leisure centre, museum, the beach and Freeport shopping centre. Hornsea Mere, a site of special scientific interest (believed to be the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire) offers sailing, fishing and bird watching along with cafe and pitch and putt. Nearby Wassand Hall with beautiful gardens is open to the public during the summer months along with Burton Agnes Hall which is renowned for its huge art collection, or for those who fancy a flutter the racecourse at Beverley is approximately 9 miles.
