In the evenings, visit one of many local family pubs serving good food, or enjoy a glass of wine in the enclosed garden. The holiday apartments have been fully restored with exposed beams and rafters. Set amongst some of the most glorious scenery to be found in Devon, plenty of footpaths and coastal walks can be taken from the apartments, which are on Exmoor National Park. Walk through the heather; look out for red deer, ponies and buzzards. Take a trip into Dunster, 10 miles, and visit the historic yarn market and castle. Minehead, with its sandy beach, is 18 miles. In the evenings the locally renown Hunters Inn is just over 1 mile away and is famed for its excellent food. Woody Bay and Lee Bay are popular sheltered coves with rock pools which are less than 4 miles away and slightly further afield are lovely sandy beaches like Woolacombe. Other attractions in the area include Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, The Valley of the Rocks, Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle, Exmoor Zoo and more. Ideally situated for touring Exmoor and the surrounding area. A stretch of the old Lynton to Barnstaple narrow-gauge railway crosses the farm. Leisure facilities: stroll the land and see the animals, enjoy feeding Crackerjack (our resident old pony) who still likes small children sitting on his back. Red deer are often seen on the farm. Enjoy a picnic by the pond and try your hand at fishing in the well-stocked pond that has trout, rudd and roach and is free of charge. Groups of alpacas can be seen in the orchard. You will be within walking distance of The Valley of the Rocks, the beautiful waterfalls of Watersmeet, Woody Bay, Heddons Mouth, and the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway which takes you to the picturesque harbour of Lynmouth. The accommodation is arranged over three floors and offers THREE bedrooms: on the second floor is 1 king-size and 1 single bedroom. On the first floor is 1 bunk bedroom. Bathroom: on the second floor with bath and WC. Shower room on the first floor with WC. Lounge: overlooking the Exmoor hills and village with TV, DVD, Freeview and hi-fi. Dining room: with feature fireplace. Kitchen: on the ground floor with cooker, fridge and microwave. Outside: a small roof terrace with seating. Amenities: roadside parking just a short walk, or there is an adjacent pay car park (weekly permits can be purchased) but luggage can easily be dropped right outside the property.
