The medieval city of Salisbury, 8 miles, has its famous cathedral spire and close, individual shops, pubs and restaurants, a theatre and a cinema which is housed in the old wool market. The small market town of Fordingbridge is 6 miles and is known for its famous medieval stone bridge and fine arches; it boasts plenty of shops, pubs and cafes, or enjoy a walk along the river.
