Accommodation overview: A warm and cosy hideaway for two, Mwnt has been completely renovated from top to toe and is set in the pretty hamlet of Nanternis, near New Quay. The cottage itself benefits from a white and pale blue colour scheme and has been carefully converted with modern day comforts such as under floor heating. Snuggle up around the cosy log burner on wintry nights or rustle up a romantic meal for two in the beautifully presented bijoux kitchen. The stairs guide you to the lovely galleried double bedroom. The doors lead out to a patio area and beyond to an enclosed lawn where you can enjoy the warm sunshine and light the BBQ provided. Step outside the grounds and choose from one of the many lanes and footpaths to explore, some take you along the un-spoilt Ceredigion Coast Path and others through ancient woodland. Or make your way to the secluded National Trust cove of Cwmtydu (1 mile), renowned for smugglers and pirates, the legendary Sion Cwilt was one such smuggler who used this bay in the 18th Century. The beach itself is pebbly and seal pups can often be seen here during the autumn months. Cwmtydu is nestled into the coastline, with paths offering excellent walking opportunities and connecting all the local beaches. For those who would prefer, the Cardi Bach bus service is a special summer only service, which takes travelers from Cardigan to New Quay and back twice a day between June and October. It links all the beaches in between and can transport 2 bikes.
