Accommodation overview: This lovely detached 17th-century barn conversion has original beams and lots of character, and is in an excellent position to explore Exmoor and the surrounding countryside. The property sits just outside a quiet rural village and is set within the owner’s 4-acre grounds, with stunning views across the countryside. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard and offers spacious accommodation. This is an excellent base for walking, birdwatching and fishing as there are fishing lakes only a 5-minute drive away, or for a relaxing peaceful holiday. Ideal for families to get together as there are many local activities from pony trekking to quad biking and adventure parks. There are also many sandy beaches such as Woolacombe, Braunton and Minehead a mere 40-minute drive. Dulverton, which has many local art, craft and gift shops, boutique clothes shops, tea rooms and restaurants is well worth a visit and only 5 minutes away. There are many National Trust properties well worth visiting and of course there is Exmoor with its dramatic scenery, ponies and wonderful quaint villages. The main village of Bampton is 4 miles distant, and has all local amenities and a few pubs serving good food. There is also a pub in the local village of Oakford just a short walk away. Shop 4 miles and pub ½ mile.

SHORT BREAKS WELCOME This spacious, detached bungalow in the grounds of the main house is set in relaxing woodland and has a lovely river running beside the grounds. You will be centrally located to tour the whole of the South West. Explore neighbouring Exmoor, which is close by and enjoy walks directly from the property including to the local pub which is less than 1 mile away. There are a host of leisure activities to enjoy in the area, including walking, fishing, pony trekking and bird watching. There are beaches within 45 minutes drive to the north and south of the county including the traditional seaside resorts of Teignmouth and Torquay to the south and the fabulous surfing beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe on the north coast. Other attractions in the area include the cities of Exeter and Taunton both steeped in history along with their shopping centres, bars and restaurants. Further into Somerset and you will find Dunster Castle and West Somerset Steam Railway. In the evenings relax on the decking or in the gardens with a glass of wine. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms:2 doubles and 1 twin (zip-and-link can be made into a king-size on request). Bathroom: with shower over and WC. Shower room: separate with WC.
