Careful blending of traditional features, such as beams and flagged floors, are offset by tasteful furniture and co-ordinating fabrics, which create a relaxing atmosphere where you can truly get away from it all. Wainwright’s coast-to-coast walk passes by the front door making for excellent walking, and Reeth which has a variety of shops, restaurants and inns together with the Swaledale Folk Museum, is just 3 miles. The Georgian town of Richmond with its fine castle, large market square, museum, theatre and swimming-pool is just 13 miles. Riding, fishing and cycling locally. Shop 3 miles. Beamed living/dining room with wood-burning stove and rug on stone flagged floor. Kitchen with stone flagged floor. Bathroom with roll-top bath and toilet. Accommodation overview: Enjoying a panoramic vista of breathtaking scenery (pictured) in the heart of Swaledale this spacious detached cottage certainly lives up to its name! Resulting from the joining of three traditional buildings and recently renovated to provide a truly comfortable holiday home for families or groups it boasts both a safely enclosed rooftop terrace making the most of those splendid views and a lovely private garden. This is wonderful walking and cycling country fly fishing is available locally and pony trekking can be enjoyed in Arkengarthdale 4 miles. There are castles in Richmond and Middleham and Wensleydale is home to the Dales Museum the ropemakers' gallery and Wensleydale creamery in Hawes the Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton. Barnard Castle and the Bowes Museum are 15 miles Fountains Abbey Newby Hall and the Lightwater Valley are 25 miles and the Lake District is about 35 miles. Reeth (3½ miles) has a small weekly market shops cafés pubs and restaurants. Pub 500 yards.
