There is an array of individual boutique shops, delis, cafes, pubs and restaurants, and water from the moat runs down either side of the High Street. Close by is Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury (the Tor, Abbey ruins, Chalice Well and gardens), Cheddar (the Gorge and famous cheeses) and Street, famous for its outlet shopping village, a Mecca for bargain hunters and shopaholics. Slightly further afield is the historic city of Bath, with its stunning Roman and Georgian architecture, Longleat House and Safari Park, Stourhead House Gardens, Hestercombe Gardens, Tyntesfield House and East/West Somerset railways, to name but a few popular local attractions. Ideally positioned to visit the golden city of Bath. Visitors have been coming to Bath for over 2,000 years. Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Bath presents some of the finest architectural sights in Europe, such as the Roman Bathsand Pump Room, the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and the Circus. For those who like to be pampered, why not enjoy a day of relaxation at the new Thermae Spa situated in the centre of the city and bathe in the warm waters. Other interesting places to visit include the cathedral city of Wells only 7 miles away and Glastonbury with its famous Tor. Shoppers can enjoy a variety of shops at Street some 16 miles away, and the traditional seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare is about an hour’s drive. For those wishing to stay closer to home, the apartment offers something for everyone. The first floor accommodation accessed via the pool area and an open-tread wooden staircase, offers TWO bedrooms: 1 5' double with large Velux windows with blinds. En-suite shower room with WC. 1 twin room with TV (please note: guests using this room will need to share the double rooms en-suite facilities) Open-plan area separates the two bedrooms and offers a lounge/diner: with Freeview TV/DVD and hi fi, comfy sofa and additional chairs. Kitchen area with electric cooker and hob, fridge with small freezer section, dishwasher and washing machine. Patio doors separate the apartment from the downstairs pool area but there is a small tiled balcony overlooking the pool (young children please take care). Poolside, there are loungers and garden furniture. Outside: patio doors lead out to a small patio with garden furniture and BBQ. Wooden gate leads out to driveway with ample parking.
