A 12th century Benedictine Priory nearby hosts classical music throughout the season. Nearby Walsingham village is mentioned in the Doomsday book with Saxon origins and is still a centre of Pilgrimage with a Slipper Chapel and Shrine. Wells-next-the-Sea is 4 miles away for sandy beaches; pinewoods and quayside for crab fishing. Other coastal towns nearby are Blakeney for bird watching sailing or a trip to see the seals or Holkham. Further attractions include Langham Glass Wells & Walsingham Light Railway horse racing at Fakenham and golf courses in the area.
