Description

This pine log cabin enjoys a secluded south facing position on Snittlegarth Farm, with views across open country to Binsey Fell. A haven for wildlife, as well as the farm animals., Snittlegarth is home to roe deer, badgers, foxes, pheasants and a variety of songbirds, with red squirrels approaching the lodges looking to feed. The original Snittlegarth Estate was owned by Lord Gillford and extended to 12,000 acres. It is now farmed on a smaller scale and has the benefit of footpaths from the doorstep on to Binsey Fell and beyond. Snittlegarth lies in a truly tranquil valley close to Ireby and Uldale on the northern fringe of the National Park and provides an idyllic retreat for those who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. There are pubs in both Uldale and Ireby, each serving bar meals.
