Settled along the coast of the Isle of Lewis, between Loch Cromore and Loch Erisort, the small but friendly crofting township of Cromore is isolated, yet thriving with the undisturbed beauty of the wild Outer Hebrides. This former fishing village offers footpaths that trail through breathtaking scenery, home to an abundance of wildlife including native nesting sea birds. To the west of the village you can discover the weatherworn ruins of the 16th century church of St Columba that look out to sea. There are plenty of fishing opportunities, whether your preference is for the waves or the calmer lochs, and local amenities including a pub serving traditional food, a village shop and a café are within a short drive. Stornoway, the only town in the Outer Hebrides, can be reached within an hour’s drive, offering a working harbour and a fantastic array of shops and award-winning restaurants serving local food.
